PRAYER OF POPE FRANCIS FOR THE EXTRAORDINARY MISSIONARY MONTH (OCTOBER 2019)
/in News /by Elizabeth HughesGod our Heavenly Father,
when your only begotten Son Jesus Christ rose from the dead,
he commissioned his followers to “go and make disciples of all nations”
and you remind us that through our Baptism
we are made sharers in the mission of the Church.
Empower us by the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be courageous
and zealous in bearing witness to the Gospel,
so that the mission entrusted to the Church,
which is still very far from completion,
may find new and efficacious expressions
that bring life and light to the world.
Help us make it possible for all peoples
to experience the saving love and mercy of Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
One God, forever and ever. Amen.
Cowbridge Male Voice Choir Concert 2019
/in News /by Elizabeth Hugheshttp://photos.app.goo.gl/AtpWHV6swq6Pvbhk9
Sincere gratitude to Cowbridge Male Voice Choir together with their Musical Director Rhiannon and accompanist Sandra for a musical extravaganza on 14th September 2019 on balmy autumn evening.
During the interval the Ladies Guild provided cold beverages and delicious nibbles for both choir and audience. Thank you to Rachel The Foot Lady, Arthur John & Co, W.G.Davies, Cross Farm Nurseries, Strawberry Fields and I.G.Nicholas Butcher for providing the raffle prizes.
Thank you to the Parish Family who purchased tickets and to those who graced the occasion with their presence. Also thank you to the “Male Voice Choir” community who came in their numbers to support this event. A magnificent £1077.50 was raised to help towards the interior decorating of St. Cadoc and the Parish Centre.
We look forward to welcoming “The Boys”, Rhiannon and Sandra back for another concert in the near future.
