‘Adoremus’ – National Eucharistic Congress – Liverpool – September 2018 

In September 2018, Liverpool hosted the National Eucharistic Congress. Over 10,000 Catholics came together from all over Britain. Bishop Robert Barron (Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles and producer of DVD series ‘Catholicism) was one of the keynote speakers.

Deacon Philip Manghan, together with others from the Archdiocese attended.  Deacon Philip has been invited to come to the parish to talk about this congress and the implications it has for us as a parish/deanery/Archdiocese. You are all very welcome.

World Meeting of Families Dublin August 2018 with Pope Francis

Joanne White from the Family Commission in Cardiff attended this Congress.

What is the Church saying to us today about ‘family’??

Joanne will be sharing her experiences and how we as a parish/deanery/archdiocese could help to move these ideas forward. All parishioners from our deanery are invited to this meeting but

especially to those who attended the Amoris course. You are all very welcome.


Following the great success of the Adoremus Eucharistic Congress, the Archdiocese of Cardiff invites everyone to a ‘VENITE ADOREMUS RETREAT’ during Advent as a
preparation for Christmas. The retreat will be held in St. David’s Catholic College Cardiff on 8th December from 10:30am to 3:00pm. The retreat will be an opportunity to stop and listen to God’s voice within us. During the course of the retreat day, there will be two talks, imaginative contemplation and time for silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. The keynote speaker will be Archbishop George Stack. The retreat is free of charge and open to people of all faiths and no faith. Registration is at 10am for 10.30am start. Lunch will be provided. Our next talk is on Sunday 18th November at  3 pm at St. David’s RC Sixth Form College, Tygwyn Rd.,Pen y lan, Cardiff. We are pleased to welcome back one of our favourite speakers Prof Madeleine Gray who will talk about “The Medieval Cult of St Christopher”. All are welcome to this free event
