Sincere gratitude to Cowbridge Male Voice Choir together with their  Musical Director Rhiannon and accompanist Sandra for a musical extravaganza on 2nd June.

On a very warm Saturday night the choir performed songs from their current repertoire in build up to their annual concert, to be held on 21st July in Cowbridge Leisure Centre.
In the first set the choir sand; Cwm Rhondda, The Water is Wide, Let It Be Me, and closing with O Gymru. Sandra and Rhiannon then took centre stage with a piano duet of “The Thunder and Lightning Polka”. The choir then closed the first half performing; Yr Anthen Geltaid, He Ain’t Heavy, You Rise Me Up and Calon Lan.
During the interval the Ladies Guild provided cold beverages and delicious nibbles for both choir and audience, also the raffle was drawn. Thank you to Howell Adams Engineering, Cross Farm Nurseries, Strawberry Fields and I.G.Nicholas Butcher for providing some of the prizes.
During the second half the choir sang; I Bob Un Sydd Ffiddlon (Rachie), You are So Beautiful, She and I Believe. Sandra and Rhiannon then treated the audience to another duet “Franz Schubert’s Marche Millitaire”. The choir ended the concert singing; Morte Christi and a Beatles medley during which the audience enthusiastically joined in. This was followed by Angels and ending with The Impossible Dream.Everyone present thoroughly enjoyed the repertoire of songs and piano duets.

Thank you to the Parish Family who purchased tickets and to those who graced the occasion with their presence. Also thank you to the “Male Voice Choir” community who came in their numbers to support this event. . A magnificent £916.00 was raised for the development of the Parish. We look forward to welcoming “The Boys”, Rhiannon and Sandra back for another concert in the near future.
