CAFOD is running a taster session which is open to anyone who wants to find out more about CAFOD’s volunteer work in schools and parishes. The session will be held next to St David’s Cathedral in Cardiff on Monday 17 Sept (11-4pm) and will be a great way to find out more about CAFOD’s educational work, meet other volunteers, unpack resources and see first-hand what this vital volunteer role entails. It’s an ideal opportunity for those who are interested in becoming a volunteer, but want to find out more first. Please contact CAFOD at email@example.com or 029 20 344 882 to find out more and book your place.
We are currently recruiting volunteers interested in joining our Marriage Preparation team. As the provision of lay led preparation across the diocese is expanded and developed, we need to recruit more volunteers. CAN YOU HELP?
Could you work with engaged couples as a facilitator?
As a volunteer facilitator you would:
Become part of the developing network of Marriage Preparation providers
Deliver Marriage Care programmes to engaged couples of your deanery
Help engaged couples discern their readiness for the Sacrament of Marriage
Deepen your own appreciation of the Sacrament of Matrimony
Training and support will be provided by Marriage Care in partnership with the Archdiocesan Family Life Worker.
For more details pick up a leaflet at the back of church, speak to your parish priest, contact either firstname.lastname@example.org or in the diocese Joanne White, Family Life Worker,
