Marriage Preparation in the Archdiocese of Cardiff

Can you help?

We are currently recruiting volunteers interested in joining our Marriage Preparation team. As the provision of lay led preparation across the diocese is expanded and developed, we need to recruit more volunteers.

Could you work with engaged couples as a facilitator?

As a volunteer facilitator you would:

Become part of the developing network of Marriage Preparation providers

Deliver Marriage Care programmes to engaged couples of your deanery

Help engaged couples discern their readiness for the Sacrament of Marriage

Deepen your own appreciation of the Sacrament of Matrimony

Training and support will be provided by Marriage Care in partnership with the Archdiocesan Family Life Worker.

War, persecution, natural disaster and poverty force millions of people from their homes.  Share the Journey is a global campaign, launched by Pope Francis, to respond with compassion and call on governments to protect the human dignity of people on the move.

We are asking parishes, schools and youth groups to support the campaign by joining our “walk around the world” and to organise a walk in your parish or school community. You can walk around the church building, 100 yards, 1 mile or 100 miles.  It’s up to you. Or join our main walk around Cardiff Bay on Thurs 21 June, starting at 10:00 by the Norwegian Church. For more details see the poster at the back of the Church. These walks will provide an opportunity to reflect on refugee stories, to talk, to pray and to put your faith into action.
